Welcome to The Bread Basket Family Restaurant & Bakery
The Bread Basket is a family-run restaurant, coffee shop, and bakery that was established in August 1995 and is situated in St. Michaels Square, Ballinasloe, Co Galway.
Currently, The Bread Basket employs six full-time and six part-time staff members. We serve a wide range of hot dishes, including an all-day breakfast with daily specials. Takeaways are also available. Additionally, we cater for communion, confirmation, and birthday parties upon request.
Restaurant
All our sausages, puddings, bacon, and meats are sourced from our trusted local butcher, Tony Carroll. We offer an all-day breakfast, with vegetarian options also available. Additionally, we're excited to introduce our new turkey breast sausages, renowned for their delicious taste.
Our range of hot dishes is extensive, featuring homemade chicken curry, lasagne, turkey and ham, roast beef and lamb, succulent breast of chicken, and many more. Each dish is served with your choice of potato, vegetables, chips, wedges, or a selection of salad.
For our guests aged over 50, we have special afternoon specials available from 3 pm to 6 pm daily. Enjoy a platter of mini fresh cream pastries served with tea or coffee, all at a fantastic price.
Bakery
Spelt sodas and rolls are crafted with buttermilk, while honey and spelt bread is meticulously prepared using water and yeast. Our brown soda and scones boast a delightful combination of buttermilk and bran, while our fruit scones and rock buns are equally tantalising.
All our delectable breads (including Spelt, Honey and Yogurt, and Honey and Spelt, to name just a few), along with our cakes and pastries, are freshly baked on the premises every day.
